Glass Courses at the Glass Hub
corona virus
COVID-19 UPDATE - 24 March 2020

With the health and safety of our communities in mind, and in line with current UK government advice, we have decided to suspend all classes, with immediate effect.

We apologise for the disruption in plans that this change will cause. Given the current lack of clarity as to how long we will need to suspend courses for, we have decided that we will be cancelling and rescheduling all courses from the current date until the beginning of June. All course attendees will be offered new dates for their existing bookings. Courses from June onwards are currently open for bookings. Please do continue to book courses into the Autumn as normal, however, we will monitor the situation carefully and make any changes as and when necessary, rescheduling classes if they need to be cancelled.

As The Glass Hub’s revenue is solely from glass courses, and not supplies, this difficult period of uncertainty will affect us greatly, and we need our customers to be patient as we make new arrangements for courses. We would like to thank you for your understanding and patience at this challenging time.

Stay safe and take care.

The Glass Hub Team

The following information outlines our policy in the event that classes have to be cancelled because of a lockdown.

Regular classes - If these classes have to be cancelled, we will reschedule the course for later in the year when hopefully things have returned to normal. No transfer fee incurred (see section 8. of our Terms & Conditions)

Masterclasses - Wherever possible we will work with Masterclass artists to reschedule the class for another date later this year/early next year. In the event that we are unable to reschedule we will offer you a refund or credit towards another course. (see section 8. of our Terms & Conditions)

Please contact us if you have any queries or concerns regarding this information.

There are still ways that you can keep your glass habit fed, have something to look forward to and support our work through this difficult time.  We can reassure you that we are maintaining stringent hygiene measures, with facilities for handwashing and vigorous sterilising of equipment.

We would like to offer you a 20% discount for private hire rates for groups of up to three people.   This will include one-to-one tuition and could be an opportunity to further your glassmaking skills or arrange a bespoke day for your family or friends.

Sessions run from 10am to 4.30pm, with 1/2 hour for lunch and include tuition and basic materials (bring a packed lunch and extra materials are available at cost). Half days run from 10am - 1pm & 2-5pm.  Simply book using the email link below.

Whilst there is uncertainty over the running of courses over the next few weeks and months, please remember that you can always buy a voucher towards the cost of a future course.  This makes a wonderful gift for someone who needs cheering up, or for yourself!  And it will help us to keep The Glass Hub going over this challenging period.
